THREE new pieces up! But now I need to photograph more tomorrow to keep up this momentum.
Embers and Ash (on Etsy)
Rose not included, and I hope that doesn't cause any confusion. Tho it does give me an idea for something new ;-)
Tiger Sheen (on Etsy)
This one was inspired by my research of Victorian hairwork jewelry, waaay back for SalonCon no.1. I didn't really want to learn that craft, but I always felt that tiger "eye" looked more like the sheen of tiger-fur.
Over Sea and Sky (on Etsy)
Yaaay, more Steampunk inspirations.
On Thursday I finished my first new piece of jewelry in the new apartment! A commission for a friend that we can hope I remember to photograph before I hand it over ;-) And today I did a TON of bead shopping. Should be set for a few months. Hopefully I'll have some more pieces ready for my "Songs and Stories" shop section by next weekend!
New work and projects, events, works in progress, tips and advice. These pieces and more are available for sale on Etsy: QueenoftheCatPeople.etsy.com

Another new piece!
Writing pithy descriptions on Etsy is fun at an hour past my bedtime :-D
Also part of my "Steampunk" line, mostly inspired by the color scheme, which I really really like.
Copper Infused Glass
The third picture is me finally experimenting with the ever popular Etsy idiom: tight shot, out of focus. Only I did it by accident.
And remember, my art clay pieces are still on sale this April! They ain't your grandma's polymer clay ;-)

New Items!
Wow, when was the last time I said that? ;-) Bravo new apartment! Bravo free time!!!
However, I must say, I finished these pieces many months ago. Many other situations got in the way of my Etsy habits after that. But they're up now, and that's what counts.
Bronze Twist, a Steampunk inspired necklace of seed beads:
Grape Loves, a bracelet of violets and hematite hearts:
Both available for sale on my Etsy shop, Huzzah!

Live and in person, May 3rd in Astoria!
I'd resigned myself to chilling out this April, but I'm already signed up for a local Queens craft fair in Astoria on May 3rd ;-)
The Astoria Events Spring Fling Market!
Sunday May 3rd, 2009
10:30-4:30
32-33 31st street
Astoria, NY 11106
Omonia Cretans Association
(Indoors, footsteps away from the N train.)
So if you want to see my work in person, plus items not yet available on Etsy. I will definitely have my polymer clay items on sale at the event, plus my "bargain" section of pendants and earrings :-D
And wouldn't you know, I move away from Astoria and suddenly they have a craft fair. Lol. I'm also trying to get in contact with the Brooklyn Indie Market, but for some reason they're not getting back to me. Will look into it now that I have some time.
Did my business taxes last night. Not the best outcome, but I'm glad that my book keeping skills have improved. It makes taxes go faster. I would have finished them months ago, but the house-moving got in the way.
Also, I gave up beads for Lent, and now Lent is over. And I'm getting a tax refund. I really hope I don't lose the self control I've been working on... Although I do need other non-bead jewelry materials as well. The craft area is now neat and organized- I can get back to work.

Back to beads, and extending the sales :-)
The move is over! Renovations and home decorating... not quite over, but I can take my time there ;-)
I miss my beadwork sooooo much this week. If I manage to get my workshop set up, I can get back to my crafting. I have a bunch of ideas waiting in my notebook, and uncovered a ton of unused supplies during the packing/moving process. Not to mention all the newer pieces I haven't had time to photograph properly.
I hope to have *something* new and crafty to post by the end of the weekend. In the meantime, this is what my workshop area looks like right now:
Wow. Photographs are the best way to pinpoint clutter...
BTW, I'm extending my Polymer Clay Sale on Etsy for the rest of April, because why not ;-) I've already had a really good response to it, yay!
